Very lucky when I visited Juneau one July. Had 4-5 consecutive sunny days--beautiful! The bears live in Katmai National Park. While I felt totally safe on the observation deck, walking between the deck and the sea plane was a little unnerving after being inspected for anything that could release scent.

Went to a resort to see aurora borealis (northern lights) one February. It was wicked cold. Didn't see much of a show--the lights were south in Montana the week we were in Fairbanks. Many Japanese tourists because folklore says that children conceived under the lights will be blessed..

During a long weekend with friend at a spa, I got my hand stuck in a cactus which literally scarred me for life.

This place is unbelievable because it has 600 ft sand dunes--the tallest in North America--in south west Colorado. Who'd expect that?!

Grand Tetons may be my favorite national park so far.

Wow, wish I was there now.

It was love at first site for me with humpbacks. It was fascination at first site for me with all of these surfers.

Maui puts on a great show!

On Saturday December 8, 2018, a team of Budweiser Clydesdales visited Hoboken, NJ to celebrate the repeal of Prohibition.

An annual event that is always fun. 

The annual Festival of Ballooning held in Whitehouse Station, NJ (where?!).

Cowboys, silos, corn and rope. The Badlands, Mt. Rushmore and Devil's Tower (in Wyoming). 

Joined friends on a week-long Green River rafting/camping trip. Beee-utiful!

My sister lives in Seattle so I've been there a few times. Yet, I always enjoy visiting Pikes and watching the guys throw around the fish.

So beautiful! In fact, some of my favorite images came from this trip to the islands collectively known as the San Juan Islands. Kayaking with orcas, lavender farm, maritime vistas. On the border of Washington and British Columbia, these islands are a best-kept secret that all should have on their destination list!
