CA Redwoods to Mendocino

Avenue of the Giants -- giant coastal redwood trees, "first growth" meaning they've never been cut and are therefore up to 2000 years old. I bought a postcard of a cross-section labeled with various world history events dating back to B.C.
Redwoods reaching the sun. I wish I had someone with me to provide a basis of height comparison.
Blackberry Inn where I stayed in Mendocino. It's unique in that each room is decorated like a business in an old west town. The first night I stayed in the Boarding House; the second in the Sweet Shoppe. Check out the blue sky.
The Blackberry Inn has flowers everywhere--iris (one of my favs), daisies, and lots of calalillies are in bloom.
Here is Mendocino. A lot smaller than I expected, this is a photo of almost all of Main St. It's everything everyone says--beautiful, wonderfully preserved, and expensive.
