Dublin, Ireland (early April)

Beautiful tulips and other flowers in full bloom in front of Christ Church.
Christ Church. Oddly, it has a rooster wind-indicator on the top of the tower pictured. Maybe crosses or other religious symbols are inappropriate for weather indication?
Note the beautiful blue sky...keep in mind, this is Dublin, Ireland.
Inside the courtyard of the Dublin Castle. Dublin Castle was built by the British on top of the foundation of the Normans' fort which was built on top of the foundation of the Vikings' fort. The British built it for the Viceroy to live in while he (not just one) ruled over Ireland. Now it's used for government events and ceremonies including the Irish President's inauguration. Turns out the Irish President's role is basically that of the  state-figure-head. Everyone kept telling me it's akin to the British Queen's role, which doesn't make sense to me given how many years the Irish fought against British rule. Why set up their own (granted, elected) state-figure-head?
This is the main gate into the courtyard of the Dublin Castle. It is topped with a statue of Justice holding scales. Justice faces into the courtyard. I heard two explanations for this:
a) Justice turned her back on the Irish who lived outside the Castle's walls
b) No one outside the walls of the Castle (the Irish) deserved justice
This is a shot looking straight up at the world's largest Waterford crystal chandelier.
Graffiti painted on a construction wall that says, "Euronation, Euro-peeing"
It was Vince's birthday the last night I was there, so we went out for a few pints.
