Photography Index>Annual NJ Balloon Festival

I have a fascination with hot air balloons and all other means of flight. Balloons are particularly delightful to photograph because they are so colorful. In addition, they attract quite a crowd of zepoli/sausage/sweet corn/thai-food eating folks. It's a street fair on a field with all looking aloft.

Shapes and colors

First thing that caught my eye was this tub of rubber duckies. Turn over the duck and win a prize -- for $2. Good eye-catcher for the friendly junk-vendor.
I was surprised how quickly the balloons inflate. All of the sudden, they were untethered and flying!
They had a few goofy-shaped balloons. This was one.
They're beautiful tethered and bunched together.
Aloft!

Basket shot.
Bright colors.
Sunset. By the way, balloons only fly at dawn and dusk because that's when the wind is most likely to be less than 6mph, safe flying conditions.
Funny mid-way fair ride. Gotta love that face!
